Today I point to a Linkedin article written by Peter Hatherley-Greene. He referred to Google research that found that the top 6 characteristics of success at Google were all soft skills:
being a good coach
communicating and listening well
possessing insights into others (including other different values and points of view)
having empathy toward and being supportive of one’s colleagues
being a good critical thinker and problem solver
being able to make connections across complex ideas
I believe that students should leave school with these skills and Design Thinking is a key method for them to learn empathy and creative problem solving.
